Long Silence
(Nicholas)Almighty God,
to whom all hearts are open,
all desires known,
and from whom no secrets are hidden,
cleanse the thoughts of our hearts
by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit
that we may perfectly love you
and worthily magnify your holy name;
through Christ our Lord, Amen
Short Silence
Lord’s Prayer said by the Leader
(Nicholas)Father of us,
The One who is in the heavens;
Hallowed be your nature
May your kingdom come,
May your will be done,
as in heaven, so on earth.
Give us today our bread from above that gives our whole life meaning.
Cancel our debts,
As we cancel the accounts of those indebted towards us.
And let us not be led into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom the power and the glory are yours.
Now and forever

Hearing truth
Reading Isaiah 53: 1 – 9 (Tchenka)

1                      Who has believed our message

                and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?
2                      He grew up before him like a tender shoot,
                and like a root out of dry ground.
                He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
                nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
3                      He was despised and rejected by men,
                a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering.
                Like one from whom men hide their faces
                he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4                      Surely he took up our infirmities
                and carried our sorrows,
                yet we considered him stricken by God,
                smitten by him, and afflicted.
5                      But he was pierced for our transgressions,
                he was crushed for our iniquities;
                the punishment that brought us peace was upon him,
                and by his wounds we are healed.
6                      We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
                each of us has turned to his own way;
                and the LORD has laid on him
                the iniquity of us all.
7                      He was oppressed and afflicted,
                yet he did not open his mouth;
                he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
                and as a sheep before her shearers is silent,
                so he did not open his mouth.
8                      By oppression? and judgment he was taken away.
                And who can speak of his descendants?
                For he was cut off from the land of the living;
                for the transgression of my people he was stricken.?
9                      He was assigned a grave with the wicked,
                and with the rich in his death,
                though he had done no violence,
                nor was any deceit in his mouth.

O Lord hear my prayer, O Lord hear my prayer,
When I call, answer me,
O Lord hear my prayer, O Lord hear my prayer,
Come and listen to me
Any response? (Nicholas)
Communing   (Nicholas)
Communion – long tables down middle
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.
Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness,
So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.
Does not wisdom call out?
Does not understanding raise her voice?
 “The LORD brought me forth as the first of his works
before his deeds of old;
I was appointed? from eternity,
from the beginning, before the world began.
I was filled with delight day after day,
rejoicing always in his presence,
rejoicing in his whole world
and delighting in mankind.
Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?”
God said to Moses, “I am who I am.
This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’
Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake.
After the earthquake came a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper. When Elijah heard it, he pulled his cloak over his face and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave.
When Joseph and Mary had done everything required by the Law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee to their own town of Nazareth. And the child grew and became strong; he was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon him.

“I tell you the truth,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!”

“I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty
“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.
“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.
Remain in me, and I will remain in you.
On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.
The kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation,
nor will people say, 'Here it is,' or 'There it is,' because the kingdom of God is within you.
we speak of God’s secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began.
The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.”
In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.”
After Communion (Nicholas)
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Now the dwelling of God is with men and women, and he will live with them.

Let us Gaze upon the light of the world (Nicholas)
Gazing at a Flame
Bless the Lord my Soul,
and bless God’s Holy name.
Bless the Lord my soul,
who leads me into life.
